Happiness and peace are impossible without integrity

INTEGRITY (noun): the quality or condition of being sound; of being un-impaired, undivided, complete, or whole.

We are either whole  or we have a hole—an inner void.

Many people feel this hole, this inner void, like something is missing.  We try to fill it with answers taught us and sold to us by other less-than-whole people. We load the hole with power, money, toys, sex, fame, drugs, alcohol, harmful relationships, and myriad other phony fillers. Each time we get our current object of gratification, the void is filled for a short time; the inner tension and pressure abate but they always return because we have filled the void with temporary relief.

This is a spirit void and the only effective hole-filler is an active relationship with that divine inner spiritual spark, the kingdom of heaven within. This connection guides us to a higher purpose, elevated values, and supreme practices—goals, understandings, and meanings that bring us peace and security plus the power to achieve these. This is the solid something we are missing, the spiritual substance that provides power and guidance that yield integrity.

Prayer: My divine indwelling spark, help me feel your power in my life each moment of this day; fill the void inside of me with your presence. Overcome pre-conceived ideas that block me from accepting you in my life; open my heart, mind, and soul to accept the flow of love and peace from your source.  

Take three relaxing breaths; ask your inner spirit to guide your meditation; reflect on the content, pausing for a few minutes in silence.
